CERN Summer Internship Program in Switzerland 2021[Fully Funded]:

International Students are advised to apply for CERN Summer Internship in Switzerland 2021. No Application Fee Will Be Charged from Students. If you are an undergraduate or graduate student in Applied Physics, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, General or Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, IT, Mathematics and Robotics, Materials and Surface Science, apply for this internship.

CERN is the European Nuclear Research Organization. The name CERN derives from the acronym for the provisional body of the French Conceal European pour la Recherche Nucléaire (European Council for Nuclear Research), founded in 1952 with the mandate to establish a world-class fundamental research organization for physics in Europe. Physicists and engineers at CERN, the ECU Nuclear Research Organization, are investigating the elemental structure of the universe. The internship has a minimum period of 1 month and an overall duration of 6 months. Education is one of the main missions of CERN. Their experts love sharing their knowledge and experiences with students who are committed to their chosen area and excited about it. 

120 students will be chosen by CERN. There will be a total of 120 students enrolled in this initiative.  Switzerland Internships for foreign students, this is the chance to spend the summer in Switzerland once in a lifetime. Internship Coverage:

CERN Internship in Switzerland for foreign students Switzerland is Switzerland’s entirely funded internship program which will pay all expenses. 

  • A 4- to 12-month association contract to work on a technical venture. 
  • Per month, a 3305 CHF allowance. 
  • A Round Airfare Travel Allowance Tickets to & From Geneva. 
  • Scheme for Health Care. 
  • Support for seeking housing. 
  • 2,5 Paid Leave Days Per Month.

Eligibility for internship:

  • You would need to fulfill the following criteria in order to apply for a spot on the program.
  • At an undergraduate (post-secondary) degree, you are a full time student and are at least 18 years old. 
  • Please note that this program is not available for applicants who are actively studying for a Ph.D. 
  • Computation, Communications, Mathematics, Applied Physics, Electricity, Mechanical or Civil Engineering, Materials Science, Instrumentation, Radiation Control, Safety and Environmental Protection, Surveying, Super High Vacuum, Scientific Communication. The primary area of research is in one of the following disciplines.
  • A compulsory or suggested part of your studies must be your work at CERN. 
  • After ending your stay at CERN, you will be returning to your educational institution. 
  • You are well versed in English and/or French.

Closing Date:

24 March 2021 is the last day to register for the CERN Technological Internship in Switzerland 2021. The selection is scheduled for May 2021.
